Stop telling women to smile
Tatyana Fazlalizadeh's powerful art series directly confronts the issue of women being told to smile by strangers on the streets. Her work, "Faces on the streets," delivers a poignant message that speaks truth to power, shedding light on the importance of respecting women's autonomy and individual agency in public spaces.
Each Haiku is hand printed on hand built white wooden ‘boxes’ (8 x 8 x 2.5 inches)
and may be hung on a wall or displayed standing on any flat surface.
The image on each Haiku exists well on it’s own, but the design of each
piece is an open ended scene, making them perfect to combine multiple
pieces in endless ways to create your own personal Haiku series.
